12 May 2025 - The FMA are to pilot a Financial Advice Regulatory Panel. The purpose of the Panel is to provide industry perspectives to the FMA on issues related to financial advice in New Zealand. The Panel will serve as a sounding board for how the FMA regulates the industry, including supporting good practice and ensure the FMA continue to regulate financial advice in a fit-for-purpose way.
